Buddhist Blessing

Two excellent people are marrying each other today to sanctify their relationship.

They stand before us asking us to certify the sincerity of their purpose.

May they live together in their search for Truth through happiness and unhappiness, in pleasure and in pain, to a ripe old age.

May they both possess and immaculate and peaceful heart.

May the light of your union extinguish the light of selfishness. May you both help each other to be successful, each in your own way. May the merit of your union help all living things.

Let us pray that the flowers of the Heart shall bloom and the Light of the Lord purify and harmonize your marriage.

Let us live in the world as if in the sky – just as the lotus blossom is not wetted by the water that surrounds it. Let our minds be immaculate, let us bow to the highest Lord.
